Biography

Joseph is a proud son of Toledo. He focuses his practice in the areas of criminal defense, appellate practice and civil litigation.

Joseph graduated from St. John's Jesuit High School and was involved with numerous organizations while there. Joseph received his BA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his JD from Loyola University New Orleans. While at Loyola, Joseph received the Clem Sehrt Award for Outstanding Moot Court Member and participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic. Following the destruction by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, he attended the University of Toledo as a visiting student.

Prior to joining the firm, Joseph defended his clients as both a trial attorney and appellate attorney with the New Mexico Public Defender in Santa Fe, NM; a law clerk with the ACLU of Texas; and a summer law clerk with the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
